established Takara Chuzo Ltd.

1931 Production of
barber chair began.

1938 Renamed to
Takara Chukosho Co., Ltd.

1950

1951 Sales Division separated from Takara Chukosho Co., Ltd. to become Takara Chair Sales Co., Ltd.

1953 Operations of Construction Division began.

1956 Nihon Enamel Co., Ltd. (currently Takara Standard Co., Ltd.) became a subsidiary.
Takara Company N.Y., Inc. (currently Takara Belmont U.S.A., Inc.) established in New York, U.S.A.
as our first overseas subsidiary.

1959 Belmont Chairs London Ltd. (currently Takara Belmont (U.K.) Ltd.) established to break into the
European market.

1963 Following progress in exports,
Takara Daishin Co., Ltd.
became a subsidiary.

1966 Entered into the field of
hair cosmetics through
the partnership with Wella AG
in West Germany.

machines into the Japanese market for the first time.

1974 Takara Esthetic Academy established.
Marble Products established.

1975 Singapore representative office established as a liaison
office for the Southeast Asian market.

1976 Partnership with Wella AG.,
